Here is Zhujiajiao, the best-preserved of Shanghai’s four ancient towns. It has a 1,700-year history and gained its wealth from trade, as it is located at the intersection of two rivers. There are 36 ancient bridges in the town that date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
